Summer and Easter Day Camps

Non Residential Courses

We are so excited to have moved back to Manchester for our summer courses.

The Bobby Charlton Soccer and Sports Academy have been running residential soccer courses for 33 years and on all our courses we aim to ensure, as far as we possibly can, that each individual’s needs are met. We provide a safe, secure and disciplined environment, where each child matters. You can be assured that our staff will get to know the young people in their groups and we are used to players telling us that they had the time of their lives.

While it is our aim that each person leaves the course having improved their football skills, through playing and interacting with coaches and other players from around the world, they learn so much more! For young people to achieve their potential we aim to make the tasks set, enjoyable, challenging but achievable.

We initially group the players in their chronological age group. If throughout the week, the player demonstrates that he/she would benefit from moving up a group, if this is feasible, we aim to ensure that it is done.  This decision again would be in consultation with the player.  For each age group, there are recommended phases of learning which if kept to, ensure that your child develops at the right pace.

Although the social aspect is part of the overall experience, if you do not wish to stay overnight with us, BCSSA offers our fantastic football programme on a non residential basis. Our non residents will join our camp for the morning meeting and spend the rest of the day as our residents do. You will be allocated to a coaching group which will be made up of campers and non residents.

Throughout the morning and afternoon you will follow the same programme as our campers and will of course have the opportunity to take part in our original Skills Tests which David Beckham famously won.

If you wish to attend for more than one week, as far as possible we try to assure that you will be allocated a different coach. As new players join us, you will have a different experience each week. We also alternate our visits to the Premier League Ground.

The general non residential course runs from 9.30am until 4.30pm (however hours can be negotiated) from Monday to Friday and our non residents will join our residents for a cooked lunch which is included in the course cost.

Every Summer we have many requests for players to stay for the evening activities but please note that these are for residents only. Non-residents leave the camp at 4.30 unless previously negotiated with Leigh, our Administration Manager.

For our Easter course details please see our news page or call Leigh on 0161-972-0000 or email her leigh@bcssa.co.uk

During the week you will have the opportunity to enjoy a visit to a Premier League Ground. This will be Manchestere United, Liverpool or Manchester City, (dependant on date) and you will have a Tour of the Museum, Stadium and Megastore.

Parents/Guardians are welcome to attend the Monday morning meeting and may stay for a short time afterwards should they need to. This central location means that whilst the players are enjoying their course there is so much on offer for the adults locally.

On Friday at 4.00pm Parents/Guardians are invited to attend the Closing Presentation which will include:

The presentation of Certificates.

Coaches prizes for recognition of achievement or merit.

Presentation to the weeks Skills Winner and Runner Up who have won their coveted place in the International Skills Final
