WELCOME TO BOBBY CHARLTON'S
Soccer & Sports Academy
Bobby Charlton Soccer & Sports Academy is famous for our residential holidays for boys and girls aged 8 to 18. It is widely known that David Beckham began his career with us when he was a boy attending our Soccer School.
Our coaches are passionate, knowledgeable and love the game of Soccer. We offer a large number of Soccer based courses designed to ensure maximum activity, stimulation and understanding. Our International Students also combine English Language lessons with their Soccer. We pride ourselves in developing young players and believe that our Soccer Schools are the ideal way for your child to spend their holidays.
Our highly qualified coaches, who are insured, CRB checked and trained in Emergency Aid, work with the children to help them to achieve their potential, to maximise ability and develop techniques using our Soccer Theme Park equipment. However, enjoyment is our priority and we know that while players will undoubtedly see how it feels to train like a professional footballer, they will also have a week that they’ll never forget with action, adventure and excitement. Many of our children return year after year and make lifelong friends.
Our residential camp will again take place at Myerscough College, Preston from Sunday 5th July to Friday 14th August 2009. Children can attend for a minimum of 5 days (Sunday to Friday) to any number of weeks. Myerscough College offers all the facilities you could need for a great time in a safe and secure environment.
David Beckham was a star pupil at the Bobby Charlton Soccer Schools from 1986-1988. Bryn Cooper is a UEFA ‘A’ Licensed Coach and a Coaching Director for Bobby Charlton Soccer Schools. Bryn was Director of our courses during the time David spent with us. Bryn’s comments are interesting reading for any aspiring young soccer player.
"In addition to his natural ability, David displayed a fantastic work ethic and a great deal of determination, which meant he was continually practising his individual skills. It was clearly evident to the coaches at Bobby Charlton Soccer Schools that David was completely focussed on becoming a professional footballer.”
